Biden 100 Days: What We All Got Wrong About Him

The transition from Trump to Joe Biden has been like going from a daily crack pipe, to a small bottle of low-alcohol beer once a week. The daily White House briefings now are a snooze fest. There are no fights, no name-calling.No middle of the night Twitter storms, no payments to porn stars, no rollicking MAGA rallies. So, does all this mean it's been a boring presidency? Absolutely not. This is a far more interesting presidency - so far - than I think any of us had imagined.

Donald Trump’s Costly Legacy

We can finally state with confidence that United States (US) President Donald Trump will leave the White House, however reluctantly, on 20 January. As his four years in office come to an end, it is not too soon to raise the question of how he will be viewed.History will judge Trump to have been a consequential US president, in that he left America and the world much changed. He will also be seen as one of the worst, if not the worst ever.True, Trump did accomplish some useful things.

America’s Tragedy

It has been a calamity for the United States (US) that, when two national tragedies – the COVID-19 crisis and the country’s legacy of racism – collided this spring, the occupant of the White House was an unstable person, totally unfit to govern.President Donald Trump’s inability to cope with the pandemic has so far led to more than 112,000 deaths, one of the world’s highest per capita mortality rates for COVID-19, with the coronavirus still spreading to areas not previously hit.

Trump impeachment: Democrats failing?

Democrats are marching quickly toward the impeachment of United States (US) President Donald Trump and placing him on trial for abuse of power, bribery and obstruction. They have laid out significant evidence that he illicitly pressured Ukraine to announce investigations into Democrats that could help him in the 2020 election. That could see Trump formally charged in the Democrat-controlled House within weeks, making him only the third US president ever impeached. But nearly two months of invest
